About the author
William R. Rein is the author of the Shadows of Power series, a three-book
story of duty, danger, deception, and pursuit. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Rein
earned his B.S. from Central Michigan University and his M.A. from Auburn
University.
His professional career included serving as a Special Agent with the United
States Secret Service from 1971 to 1978, an experience that helped shape his
understanding of investigation, security, and the challenges faced by those
working behind the scenes.
After leaving the Secret Service, Rein spent 31 years in the private sector
before returning to his passion for writing. His work combines international
intrigue, intelligence operations, complex characters, and fast-moving
suspense.
